Journey with the Giantess

Lots of Work in Other Areas

A lot has happened since the last entry. Notably, I went down to a grove where I feel the Giantess strongly, and as I set up to bless my runes under the full moon, some unknown entity tried to chase me out of the area. I wrote about it all in greater detail on my regular blog. People can choose to believe it or not; I know how it sounds.

I've also been communing with the Muse archetype, and she has (playfully, lovingly) challenged me to a story-a-day writing discipline. I haven't been doing it every single day, but the point is to never give up. The stories are short, I only write for a 20-minute sprint, but at least I'm writing anything. It's been a lot of fun, and it feels good to share the Muse's company again.

I haven't done a lot of development to this website, except to replace my Stories section (in the Aborigen partition) to clear out the samples of my previous work and only store my "Muse's Challenge" stories. I imagine people will be frustrated with these fragmented vignettes, some of which clearly hint at larger work (which doesn't exist), but ... sorry. Maybe I'll work on them later, maybe I won't.

Oh yeah, and I announced that I would not be resuming season two of zHeightgeist. I regret letting my listeners down, I appreciate your enthusiastic support, but I don't have the motivation or drive to start up all that labor again. I feel I said everything I needed to in the first season, and after that we were veering into what other people wanted me to say, at which point it's no longer my podcast. That's what happened to my writing contest, right before I had to terminate that, so I'll just quit while I'm "ahead," if that's the case.

Thought it was time to update this blog, however. And maybe after a dozen more erratic vignettes for my endlessly encouraging Muse, I can think about writing out the stories of the Archetypes.
